I have not made an entry in so long. My failure to do so only reflects the craziness my life has been these past few months. Let's see, where shall I start?
1. The kitchen is NEARLY done. Meaning, Rafael's crew effed up the floor and he still has to come back and fix the darned thing. In the meantime, everything else is on hold as one thing cannot happen until the other is finished. However, small miracles have occurred. Such as, the hallway to the bedroom has been started. The hallway to the kitchen has been started. The living room is done, except now everything that was in the den is now in the living room as that is being started as of today. The only thing left to do is baseboards, backsplash and a few finishing touches. The den will be painted and finished within the next two weeks. Hurrah!
2. I started working a second job. Medical bills need to be paid and my real job is not cutting it. I am forlorn and worst yet, exhaustedly forlorn.
3. I went to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. The trip was amazing and I took a ton of photos. Will work on posting them.
4. I am on a diet and I am constantly hungry. Dieting sucks. Right now I am craving a McDonald's caramel sundae after Mr. Donaghy casually mentioned that he wanted a chocolate donut. Oh, did I mention that dieting sucks?
5. The garden is looking great. All this heaven sent rain has kissed the earth and all the plants in it with all kinds of healthy grow good mojo. The passion vine is blooming as is the nemesia and the roses I pruned a week and a half ago are already sprouting new growth! I think that this spring I am going to do only maintainence so that I can build up some fall and winter interest later this year. Oh yes, and now that there are new stairs leading to the kitchen garden, I can spend my days dreaming up that design.
Other than that, 2008 is looking quite good. You old Rat!
